Financial Controller
Malta

We are a multi-national, multi-currency with a complicated financial infrastructure, so need a Financial Controller that can grow with the organisation as it continues to expand but also able to be on top of the smaller details that are key to succeed as a Financial Controller. We continue to expand both organically and through acquistion. This position will be one of two finance positions reporting to the CFO and the other will be the Business Partner, that will be the business interface and manage the planning and analysis activities
 
Responsibilities:

The Financial Controller will manage a small team based in Malta ensuring timely and accurate reporting, tax and other compliances, corporate reporting, treasury management and more for the operational group outside Sweden. The the position will report to the CFO however the holder is expected to influence and manage the interfaces with the rest of the organisation.

  • Time and accurate reporting  for group companies.
  • Manage operational processes and procedures ensuring suppliers and customers are paid in a timely manner.
  • Tax compliance and strategy.
  • Regulatory compliance as we operate within a regulated industry.
  • External reporting for the various companies and a major support the Quarterly and Annual reporting parent company which is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
  • Ensure compliance IFRS accounting standard across the group.
  • Treasury management within a multi currency environment.
  • Manage a small team of people.
  • Ensure continue improvement of processes and procedures to ensure we operate a best in class finance organisation.
  • Be part of the CFO management team.
  • Ad hoc activities as and when required.

Requirements:

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar professional qualification.
  • 3 year post qualification with a listed company and experience of Quarterly and Annual reporting requirements.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS.
  • Multi-national experience would be an advantage.
  • Attention to details.
  • Customer orientated.
  • Self started able to work on own initiative.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
