Role - Security Specialist 

Location - Paris 

Salary - €70,000

 

My client are one of the World’s largest Ecommerce companies who have come to me with a requirement for Security Engineer based in their Paris offices. They are now looking for an experienced candidate with great knowledge and proficiency in security and governance to assist with information security compliance for the wider Group in Europe.

 

This position reports to the Head of Information Security Office, Europe, Privacy and Governance Department.

 

Role and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate security and information governance compliance efforts in the European region based on the information security strategy determined by Headquarters
  • Lead information security implementation of compliance software
  • Advise on security best practices and applicable controls frameworks for Europe region group companies
  • Perform internal compliance assessments based on identified controls
  • Assist Group companies with remediation and improvement efforts
  • Assist Group companies with privacy compliance efforts
  • Assist Group companies with vendor management efforts
  • Support security incident reporting and management
  • Provide KPI’s and reoccurring reports related to information security compliance efforts
  • Perform periodic testing to ensure continued audit compliance
  • Educate key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement compliance communications strategy addressing needs of parent company and Group companies

 

Minimum required skills and experience:

  • Able to clearly communicate risk to high level management and other key stakeholders at parent company and other Group companies—
  • Ability to balance needs of product and customer
  • Experience with information security, internal & external audits, contract compliance, and quality initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security/Compliance
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation) skills

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional information security consulting experience
  • Knowledge and experience of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g. ISO, HIPAA, PCI DSS)
  • CISA, CISSP, CISM or other information security certifications desirable
  • Proficient in French & English
