Job Description

Arm’s Sophia Antipolis design centre, located in one of the most beautiful parts of France, at the heart of Europe’s largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this exceptional design centre has delivered leading products from Arm’s Cortex (TM) processor family.

We are the CPU Technology team, part of Arm Central Technology Group. This diverse engineering-centric group invents, defines and architects Technologies to be deployed in tomorrow's IP solutions from Arm. The CPU Technology team tackles next-generation Arm CPU microarchitectures, from M-class to A-class, inventing new concepts that will fuel billions of devices worldwide.

Job Requirements

What are your responsibilities as a CPU Technology Architect?

  • You analyse CPU performance and understand limitations we need to break through
  • You invent and model/prototyping new Technologies based on most advanced technics, like Machine Learning, to improve CPU performance or power efficiency
  • You interact with modelling engineers, CPU design teams and Arm Architecture group

What skills, experience, and qualifications do You need?

  • You graduated from a University or Engineering School, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, or other related science
  • You have a bare minimum of 5 years of either software, hardware, or mathematics experience
  • You have a passion to innovate, think different, explore new avenues
  • You are able to work efficiently alone as well as in a team environment

Desirable Skills

  • Having working experience on advanced CPU technics, from branch prediction to pre-fetchers
  • You have been defining Neural Networks and want to see how to have concrete use of these to increase the efficiency of modern CPUs
  • You have developed CPU Memory Ordering models
  • You demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and diligence
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills
