Job Description

Nicholls Moisa is representing a Multinational business working with a global manufacturing company. They are looking for a Business Analyst to work within their multinational environment and participating in creating digital solutions that increase value for the business.

 

As the Business Analyst you will be responsible to:

  • Gather, document and analyse business needs and stakeholders’ requirements and work with the Scrum Team and internal/external partners to transform these requirements into clear user stories for developers and engineers.
  • Work with the Digital Projects Assistant, Product Owner and other Scrum Team members in building and managing iterative test plans and scenarios.
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Update, implement and maintain procedures and scrum processes.
  • Together with the Product Owner, prioritize initiatives based on business needs, requirements and resources.
  • Manage competing resources and priorities.
  • Be assertive and act as ambassador in ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum concepts and principles.

 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in business or functional analysis or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills but also the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to influence and guide stakeholders, and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions that fit projects’ scopes and budgets.
  • Excellent documentation, planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • A history of supporting successful projects.
  • Adaptability, agility and ability to manage constant change through innovation and analysis.
  • Attention to detail, curiosity and “eyes-on-the-prize” philosophy.
  • A detailed understanding of Scrum methodology.  
  • Knowledge and proven experience in writing user stories and user story mapping.
  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts.
  • Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis as required.
  • Modelling techniques and methods.
  • Proven experience with the tools normally used in the role such as documentation (eg, Atlassian Confluence), data analysis (eg, MS Excel, SQL querying), modelling and flowcharts (eg, MS Vision, eDraw), and wireframing and mockups (eg, Balsamiq, MS Visio).
