UX/UI Designer

Shoreditch - London

Up to £45,000


UX/UI designer required to join a software development consultancy passionate about creating the best software solutions for their clients who range from startups to multinationals and everyone in between. Working as part of the scrum development team, you will build and execute effective UX/UI for a wide range of projects to include mobile apps, websites and back office applications.


What you will be doing:


As UX/UI Designer, you will collaborate with the Customer and team members on the UX planning and design from prototype through to the execution of the product.


You will undertake competitor and industry research to help inform on best practice, generate rapid prototypes to validate product solutions and drive UX interviews and testing for your projects to ensure we are always best serving the end user.


You will provide intuitive interfaces for your end-users and have the ability to talk people through your work with user-flows diagrams, UI screen breakdown and analysis, black and white as well as low and high fidelity prototypes and mock-ups. Enhancing the UX and UI as your product develops, reiterating based on user feedback and generating visual print and digital assets and infographics to support both the customer and the business.


As project demands require, you will write content for products and associated marketing material, from pitch decks through to websites, using keen content strategy to convey the brand voice and shape the user experience.


You will be active in planning and carrying out the user testing process and be vigilant that the UX/UI has been developed according to specifications.


Ideally, your skills and experience will include:


  • 2+ years of experience working in a software & web applications environment
  • Knowledge of mobile devices, desktop and native applications.
  • Knowledge of accessibility, usability testing and rapid prototyping
  • The ability to create sketch (lo-fi mocks) wireframes as well as fully actualised digital designs.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Proto.io, Axure, Fireworks etc.
  • Possess sound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SASS/Less. JavaScript/JQuery will be a distinct advantage.


IT would be great if you also had:


  • Experience in photography, art direction, storyboarding and animation is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of Frontend, JavaScript/JQuery and/or backend Java would be a huge advantage.
