Job Description

I’m currently working with a creative design agency that is looking for Mid to Senior Full-Stack Java developers who have the confidence to shape and build a modern digital and eCommerce platform for a prestigious retailer. This opportunity is on a permanent & contract basis with offices both in Watford and Central London.


You will form a key part of an extremely knowledgeable, passionate, fast-paced and quality-conscious tech team and you’ll be expected to share a certain level of enthusiasm and innovation. Whilst they have a place for traditional solutions, they’re always looking individuals to challenge the norm. The ideal candidate is tech-hungry and determined to help deliver a leading-edge digital platform for their client(s).



  • Core JAVA and object-oriented programming (Java 8+)
  • Core JEE programming, including: Servlet, JAX-RS, JPA, JDBC, JMS
  • Extensive experience developing high-volume, performant, secure, scalable and maintainable, enterprise-level software, with involvement in the full delivery cycle ideally eCommerce
  • Experience of working in an agile environment in using a TDD approach (Junit and Mockito).
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot, REST services, Microservices and GIT flow



  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS and Azure and development within an API first architecture
  • Exposure of the full stack and supporting technologies, including frameworks such as React would be advantageous
  • Experience of developing within an enterprise eCommerce platform, such as IBM WebSphere Commerce, SAP Hybris, Magento, Salesforce, ElasticPath, CommerceTools, and developing within the associated design and programming patterns and extension points.
  • Experience integrating a content management or customer experience engine (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager, CoreMedia) with an eCommerce platform.
  • Experience with Serverless architectures
