SRGEurope has been appointed to recruit an experienced Large & complex Loss Technician to join a company in Gibraltar. The Large & complex Loss Technician will be responsible or maintaining & managing a challenging schedule of reviews for claims >£100k in accordance with the review schedule & report audit findings to support outcomes to the business. Large & complex Loss Technician Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Manage individual caseload of large losses including high value large personal injury claims, working under own authority in accordance with set referral authority & criteria ensuring correct & appropriate claims handling & accuracy of reserve recommendations with correct application of reserve philosophy breakdown, i.e. consideration of general & special damages & any liability apportionments. Identify claims that are reportable to reinsurers under the company programme Ensure reinsurers are provided with the necessary detailed updates on a periodic basis, including liaising with reinsurers regarding attendance at case conferences, JSM's, etc, processing settlement requests & participating in reinsurance review/audit meetings Maintain & manage a challenging large loss review/audit schedule & undertake audits across claims in accordance with the audit schedule ensuring the effective delivery of regulatory & best practice requirements to the business. Obtain & collate feedback from the claims teams &/or external suppliers & distribute findings to relevant stakeholders. Develop a complete understanding of all claims processes, new initiatives & best practice & the relevance/impact of inefficient processes on customer services, leakages & fraud. Participate in Large Loss Committee meetings to discuss & agree reserve changes Liaison point for claims SCU matters & member of the Insight Committee Large & complex Loss Technician Requirements: 5 + year's in the insurance industry (motor) in claims handling role essential. Demonstrable experience & competency in handling personal injury claims to include higher value losses, CPR, Pre Action Protocols & Litigation procedures. (motor) (3 years) Understanding of anti-fraud processes Professional insurance qualification or study towards desirable. Excellent analytical & communication skills.
